15th Baltic Congress in Laboratory Medicine
Congress this year was supposed to take the delegates and speakers to the beautiful city of Riga. However, due to the global pandemic caused by COVID-19, we are forced to gather in the online environment.
The laboratory examinations play an invaluable role in the health assessment of the various patients. In these extraordinary circumstances, which have not yet been experienced by the laboratory staff of our generation, the field of laboratories has proved its importance not only in the level of safety of patients but of the entire population of the world. At the moment, our main focus is on the pandemic, but laboratory diagnostics cannot neglect any of our areas even for a moment.
Despite the unclear future perspectives and lack of time that we experience in these challenging times, it is still very important to keep the professional society updated on topical issues.
During the two days of the congress, delegates will not only get an update on the most actual topic of COVID-19, but also look into the areas of pediatrics, microbiology, infectology, women's and men's health, and development of new technologies.
