At the meeting of the Business and Event Tourism Cooperation Network participants and partners, researchers from Turiba University, Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences, and Baltic International Academy presented the results of three business tourism product studies conducted over the past six months: D-Badge, IncentiveBox, and the Sustainable Business Event Evaluation Platform.
The researches included identification of network members, partners and other potential users; assessment of product concept readiness, evaluation of prerequisites for product competitiveness, identification and assessment of commercialization potential and risks, as well as proposals for actions to mitigate those risks.
The studies provided valuable insights into how these products can contribute to strengthening Latvia's position in the international MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) market and outlined practical steps for product development, pilot implementation, and integration within the wider ecosystem of business tourism.
Latvia Convention bureau is implementing the project "Business and Event Tourism Cooperation Network" (Project No. 1.2.3.6/2/24/A/007) for the creation and implementation of a business cooperation network. The project is carried out within the framework of the European Union Cohesion Policy Program for 2021–2027.
