Insightful Networking Event at Balttour 2026

Within the framework of the “Balttour 2026” exhibition, on 7 February this year, members of the Tourism Cooperation Networks gathered for an inspiring networking event.

During the event, researchers from Turība University and Vidzeme University of Applied Sciences presented studies carried out within the project, focusing on tourism product development, increasing market potential and sustainability:

• A study on factors enhancing market potential and ensuring sustainability for the target audiences (target groups and client geography) of tourism products within the Zemgale and Vidzeme Cooperation Networks.
• Development of new tourism products and services with higher added value, based on data from the EnterGauja destination study.
• Research on the development of the tourism product “Digital, reusable interactive conference delegate ID cards – D-Badge.”
• Sustainable Tourism in Latvia 2025: an industry self-assessment.

Latvia Convention bureau is implementing the project "Business and Event Tourism Cooperation Network" (Project No. 1.2.3.6/2/24/A/007) for the creation and implementation of a business cooperation network. The project is carried out within the framework of the European Union Cohesion Policy Program for 2021–2027.
